Under the auspices of Cave Research Foundation, MSS Cooperators have been major contributors to documenting caves on the Mark Twain National Forest. 

About 10% of the known caves in Missouri are on the Mark Twain National Forest with approximately 300 of them having been mapped by cooperators of the MSS.
